Due to the U.S. federal holiday, there will be no wildlife disease news update today. Look forward to Tuesday's post, which will include the popular feature Top Read Links from Last Week.
Not celebrating the holiday? Staff at the Wildlife Disease Information Node always welcome contributions to the Wildlife Disease News Digest. Let's make this a collaborative effort! Send your top stories to us at wdin@usgs.gov, and we'll review them for inclusion in the News Digest.

Our hope is that authors, bloggers, publishers and anyone who happens to be at BEA that day would like to join us to celebrate the kick off of the first annual convention. Admission for this event is included for all who have (or will) register to attend the convention on Friday. We’re also pleased to welcome those who may not be attending the convention but want to come and hang out for a few hours to mix and mingle.
At this point if you would like to attend just show up and provide the $20 participation fee at the door. We can no longer accept online registration and payment.
